Investment Banker

As an Investment Banker, you’ll translate real dealmaking rigor into high-fidelity datasets for training next-gen AI. You’ll structure complex, multi-constraint scenarios (M&A, financing, markets), craft evaluation rubrics that mirror client-ready deliverables, and rewrite model outputs to reflect how top bankers reason under pressure and incomplete information. You won’t be pitching live deals — you’ll be encoding the judgment behind them. This is a role for someone who thrives on clarity under ambiguity, balances detail with narrative, and can turn messy business contexts into crisp analysis and decision frameworks.

Bulge-Bracket Background – Current or former banker at a top-tier firm (e.g., Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan, Morgan Stanley; preferred) with exposure to M&A and capital market Analytical Communication – Ability to produce client-grade materials: tight comps, defensible assumptions, and clear recommendation path Process Discipline – Methodical approach to QA, source hygiene, and reproducibility within data-centric workflows

Rewriting model analyses into banker-quality output: investment memos, board-level summaries, and sensitivity commentary Designing scenario banks that capture realistic constraints (valuation ranges, covenant limits, market windows) with transparent assumptions Reviewing outputs for reasoning gaps: mis-specified drivers, flawed comps selection, or inconsistent cash-flow logic Partnering with Surge researchers to build evaluation suites that test prioritization, trade-offs, and executive-ready recommendations
