Host a trained data collection team at your home for an overnight video recording session. Open to participants living within approximately 40 miles of Redmond, Washington, with a private driveway, backyard, and reliable high-speed internet.

About this project

Project Twilight is an onsite video data collection project taking place at participants’ homes in the greater Seattle area.

Selected participants will host a trained field team at their residence for an overnight data collection session. During the session, the team will carry out video recording activities using designated outdoor areas of the property.

Sessions are expected to begin at approximately 7:00 PM and may run until around 2:00 AM. Final timing and duration will be confirmed before scheduling.

What you’ll do

As a participant, you will:

Host a trained data collection team at your home for one overnight session.

Provide access to your private driveway, backyard, and other required outdoor areas.

Allow video data collection activities to take place at your property.

Coordinate with the scheduling team before your session to confirm your home setup and availability.

Be available for the full scheduled overnight session.

Ensure that relevant members of your household are comfortable with the collection taking place.

Requirements

To participate, you should:

Live within approximately 40 miles of Redmond, Washington.

Have a private driveway suitable for the required collection activities.

Have a private backyard accessible to the collection team.

Have sufficient outdoor space for the required activities (at least 12 ft × 12 ft, clear and level, in both driveway and backyard).

Have a Wi-Fi/internet connection with a minimum of 85 Mbps download and 40 Mbps upload speed, and direct physical access to your router/gateway (for our equipment to connect via ethernet).

Be comfortable hosting a field team during nighttime and overnight hours.

Be comfortable with video data being collected at your property as part of the project.

Be available for the complete scheduled session.

Ensure that relevant household members are comfortable with the project taking place.

Ensure that neighbors are comfortable with the collection activities taking place at your property.

Be responsive to the scheduling team during the screening and confirmation process.

Before participation is confirmed, our team will contact you to verify your location, driveway and backyard availability, internet connection, and availability for the overnight session.
